In the early 1990’s the Westhaven Club based at Cox’s Park and Bayside based at Madills Farm in Kohimarama joined Little League and became local Leagues playing baseball in Auckland. As the sport struggled to get established the two clubs merged to form the Bayside Westhaven Little League Baseball Club. The numbers slowly grew in Tee Ball, Under 10 and Under 12 grades. The club soon formed Under 14 and Under 16 leagues, and with the establishment of the Howick Pakuranga Little League Baseball Club, began to play interclub competitions. In 1998 the club ceased playing at Cox’s Park and resided at Madills Farm with some games at Crossfield Reserve. However the expansion of soccer forced the club, and the junior grades playing at Madills to move its entire base to Crossfield Reserve.
